Newly released behind the scenes footage shows how incredible musical numbers in La La Land were made

Audiences can be taken behind the camera in this new video from the makers of the Oscar nominated La La Land, revealing how some of the incredible musical numbers were made.


Watch the video above to see how director Damien Chazelle and his crew planned the camera work and pulled off the many spectacular dance numbers in the finished film.


Oscar nominated stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone can be seen performing takes for the likes of The Waltz, Someone in the Crowd, and Jazz Whip.

LA LA LAND: SEE HOW THE OPENING NUMBER WAS MADE


The sequence was eventually filmed on a real stretch of freeway outside of Los Angeles.


La La Land has already won five BAFTA Awards, including Best Film and Best Cinamatography, and was nominated for six more.



The film is up for a record-equalling 14 Academy Awards, including Best Director, Best Original Score, and Best Film Editing.
